WHO WE ARE
The Lancaster Metaphysical Chapel was established in 1986 by the Reverend Grace Lehman as a peace filled gathering place for people of all faiths and practices. It is a place where everyone can join in the celebration of joy and gratitude for the gift of life and a place where individuals can expand their understanding of the Divine in their lives.
In addition to the ministers who serve at the Chapel regularly, we also have speakers come from sister churches and other spiritual paths/religions to speak. Periodically we have “Collective Wisdom” when some of our own congregants share their insights. This makes the Chapel an interesting and dynamic place.

The time is here to focus on renewal and resurrection. As I have stated before, “The crucifixion is optional, but the resurrection is guaranteed.” All renewal and all resurrection begins in our minds. The mind is a very powerful tool for us. You might say that it is our wand. We create with our minds on both a conscious and an unconscious level. Most us, I believe, create unconsciously, which is why we appear to be so dissatisfied most of the time. The life that we are living right now is our creation. The past is our creation. The future will be our creation.
However, if we are aware that we can be renewed and resurrected through the renewing of our minds, we can therefore go forward consciously and deliberately creating our future. First we have to decide exactly what it is that we want to create. We all desire to live life joyously and abundantly. This is God’s desire for us as well. But saying” I want to be happy or I want to be joyous” is amorphous.
Define happiness for yourself. Is it a loving relationship?
Is it a certain amount of money in your savings account? Whatever it is,
focus on receiving it. Believe that you already have it. Allow the resurrection.

Sacred Geometry
What is Sacred Geometry? It is one of the first languages spoken by God. A workshop on sacred geometry will be presented by Charles Gilchrist on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Chapel from 10:30 until 4:00 pm. The cost is $30/$20 for students with ID.
Charles Gilchrist is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland Ohio with a degree in intaglio printmaking. His earliest work as an adult was surreal and fanciful shadowing his interest in psychology, mythology, philosophy and the expansion of his own personal consciousness. The artist was eventually lead to the concept of open-eyed meditation and the creation of Mandalas. This spiritual path lead to the discovery of Sacred Geometry which has dominated his interest for the past thirty years. Time to Get “Psy”ched
Semi Annual Psychic Fair for Entertainment Purposes only will be held on Saturday, April 14th from 10:00-4:00. Astrologers, tarotologists, mediums, aura readers, handwriting experts, and massage therapists will be available. Don’t forget to try the Tachyon Energy Cocoon. All sessions are 20 minutes for a donation of $20.00 each. Lunch will be available for purchase. Bring your family and friends and make a day of it. Registration will begin at 9:45 on the day of the event. We hope to see you there!
Change in Direction But Still On Course
The Lancaster Metaphysical Chapel’s Annual Meeting was held on Sunday, March 11, 2007. New Board Officers were elected as well as two new Trustees. Congratulations to:

CELEBRATION by Darlene Oberg
Have you noticed the beautiful new painting in the Chapel by Darlene Oberg? It’s called Celebration. Darlene writes: “This painting is part of the healing process. It was completed by recovering from a job loss that resulted in a sense of betrayal, frustration and unrelenting anger.
At that point, life seemed a hideous game of scrambling for dollars. All the noise in one’s head, the furious thoughts, thoughts of retaliation and other violent imaginings spun around without relief. I had not forgotten where beauty and joy was, but couldn’t seem to focus on it with the noise of anger pounding away.
I spent a lot of time outdoors, focusing on the growth and blossoming of flowers and plants. One of my greatest joys was in observing the critters...noting the development and activities of the Praying Mantis in the garden, the toad who would sneak in and out of his toad hole to evade the cats, and the sleepy turtle sunning on a rock down by the river.
The images in this work came quite effortlessly as if guided. The only stumbling blocks were in the technical aspects of applying the paint medium. They represent the gifts at our door step. We always have gifts...something to celebrate!”
WORKSHOPS AND OTHER EVENTS
An A.R.E (Edgar Cayce foundation) seminar entitled “Twelve Pathways to God will be presented at the Chapel by Istvan Fazekas on Saturday, May 19th from 9:00-4:00. Visit the A.R.E website for more information regarding the seminar and the cost. A hot lunch will be available for purchase.
Spiritual counseling is available on a love offering basis with Rev. Serene Rose.

Stars of Fantasy, “That 70s Show” Saturday, May 12th at 8:00 PM. Cost is $8.00/$10.00 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.

Law of Attraction Study Group facilitated by Tija Hilton-Phillips begins on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Chapel. During the first session we will create Desire Statements. This will tentatively be held on the 4th Saturday on the month unless the group decides differently. Sign Up sheet on the Bulletin Board in the Chapel. Love Offerings will be accepted but not required.
